A great neighborhood spot without the attitude. The food is very tasty and the restaurant is very clean. I can never skip the appetizer, especially the lightly fried calamari or the crab cakes. A nice place to have a meal without being rushed out. You know that the restaurant is welcoming when you see many regulars walking in.

Lex Restaurant enlightens patrons with authentic Italian flavors and a casually elegant atmosphere. It delivers a casual and comfortable environment, making it not just a restaurant with good food, but a wonderful experience for the patron. The friendliness of the staff is just an added bonus at Lex Restaurant.

While attending an event at 92 street Y Saturday evening, (actually I convinced my husband and two other couples to embark on some ball room dancing) we worked up such a appetite, we inquired about a great place to eat-a couple referred us to Lex Restaurant. all I can say is the food was amazing, the staff was so attentive and professional-the ambiance almost felt like home. We loved it so we made reservations for father's day.

happy to praise
after playing a little music at 92Y my wife sister and i had a lovely late lunch/brunch at lex--accidentally, we had never been there. low key, but very high quality. i'm going back, with a friend who thinks his nearby italian restaurant is tip top,--it isn't, they chat him up a lot. here (lex)is a find.

A Gem!
I don't know whow we've missed this place after all the years we've been coming to the 92nd St. Y, but I'm glad we finally found it. Cozy atmosphere, graci0us service and absolutely delicious food. And at reasonable prices. I echo the praise for the Scallopine Combo and their terrific Asparagus with Parmesan appetizer. The kind of place you promise yourself you'll come back to. And we will.

BEST food & delivery on UES
I love flavorful and well-composed (and healthy) dishes - not something I necessarily expect from take-out - but Lex Restaurant blew me away with the quality and service. I've not dined in yet, so I kindly gave a 4 for atmosphere though I can't truly comment. The food, however, is amazing as is the value. Love, love, love. The Chicken Scarpariello is heaven with the Chicken Abruzzese a close second! Stopped in for lunch with a co-worker and was a little hesitant because we were the only customers. The restaurant is small but tastefully decorated. It was a nice day so the floor to ceiling windows looking onto Lexington Ave were open adding to the atmosphere. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to returning to Lex and have no problem recommending it.

i Love Lex Restaurant. It's my favorite restaurant in the UES. The food is always hot and fantastic and the Service is fast and friendly. I would recommend everyone to go.. even the kids love to eat there ....that's how great the food is.
